Penile Implants Product Guide
Rigi10 Malleable Penile Prosthesis
For the last 30 years, there have been only two manufacturers of malleable implants in the United States: Boston Medical and Coloplast. That changed when Rigicon launched the Rigi10 implant in 2019 and subsequently entered the U.S. market in 2021. The Rigi10 was designed for easier implantation by surgeons and constructed for durability, rigidity and dependable concealment when not in use.
The Rigi10 includes a pair of cylinders that have a
stainless-steel core reinforced with titanium caps, covered with
Teflon and silicone.
Benefits of the Rigi10 include:
- Hydrophilic coating that enables a surgeon to select and customize the choice of antibiotic preparation.
- Soft-to-touch distal tip for comfort
- Bending angle of up to 135°
- Seven diameters: 9mm, 10mm, 10mm, 11mm, 12mm, 13mm, 14mm. The introduction of two “in between” sizes—10 and 12 mm—are for more accurate sizing.
- Lengths: 14-23 cm, 17-25 cm, with 0.5cm and 1cm extender tips.
- MRI Conditional up to 3.0 Tesla
The only other malleable penile implants available in the Unites States are the Coloplast Genesis and Boston Scientific's Tactra.
